This position supports students who need additional academic structure, accountability, and mentoring in order to thrive in a traditional classroom environment.

About the BRIDGE Program

BRIDGE stands for Building Readiness, Independence, Development, and Growth.

The BRIDGE Program at Southwest Christian Academy is an academic support and mentoring program designed for students who benefit from consistent guidance, extended time, and intentional adult support. BRIDGE is built on the belief that many students do not need a separate school or specialized therapy—they need structure, encouragement, and someone who knows them well and walks with them through their academic journey.

BRIDGE is not a diagnostic, therapeutic, or clinical program. It provides support, structure, and mentoring—not specialized intervention.

Position Overview

The BRIDGE Program Liaison serves as the primary mentor and coordinator for students enrolled in the BRIDGE program. This role focuses on academic mentoring, progress monitoring, communication, and coordination with teachers and families.

  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding progress and concerns

  • Coordinate support with classroom teachers

  • Reinforce classroom instruction and approved accommodations

Program Coordination

  • Participate in BRIDGE referrals and enrollment meetings

  • Help develop individualized support plans

  • Support annual placement reviews and transition planning

  • Maintain clear documentation and communication records
